Not all problems in a house reveal themselves right away. In this picture we can see a floor joist nearly "floating" in mid air. The concrete foundation wall has deteriorated over time and left the structural integrity of this house in poor shape. Although you could not notice any movement or spring in the floor above this point, further inspection uncovered a major structural issue in the crawlspace under the house. Had this problem been missed it could leave the potential homeowner not only in an unsafe property, but also out big $$$ for repairs.
